Design services
ASIC design, from architecture to signed-off layout.
One team for architecture, RTL, verification, DFT and physical design, as a complete flow or one stage at a time.
- Process experience
- TSMC direct account; 16 nm FinFET tape-outs, including a full mask set; a 12 nm design kit; 7 nm design authorisation; 6 nm AI full-custom chip design
- Engagement
- Spec-in, netlist-in, GDS-in, production transfer
- Hand-off
- Signed-off GDSII and test programs
Scope of work
Every stage of the front end and the back end.
Architecture and specification
Performance models, power budget and partitioning, settled before RTL starts.
RTL design
Synthesizable RTL with third-party and in-house IP integrated and documented.
Verification
UVM testbenches, formal checks and coverage closure against the specification.
Design for test
Scan, memory BIST and ATPG, so every die can be screened in production.
Physical design
Floorplan, place and route, and timing, power and physical sign-off.
Tape-out
Mask data preparation and the hand-off to the foundry.
How a project runs
Six gates, each signed off before the next begins.
Specification review
Requirements, targets and acceptance criteria agreed.
RTL freeze
Function complete and verified to plan.
Netlist sign-off
Synthesis, DFT insertion and equivalence closed.
Layout sign-off
Timing, power and physical checks clean.
Tape-out
Mask data released to the foundry.
First silicon
Bring-up and characterization on real parts.
Questions engineers ask us
Can you take over a design that is already under way?
Yes. Netlist-in and GDS-in engagements start from your hand-off, after a review of the data and its sign-off reports.
Which foundries and nodes do you work on?
We are a TSMC direct account, and we choose the foundry and process that suit your product. Our design work covers FinFET nodes at 16 nm, 12 nm, 7 nm and 6 nm.
How is our intellectual property protected?
Every project runs under a mutual NDA, with access limited to the named project team.
Have a specification ready?
Send it with your schedule and volumes. An engineer will follow up.
